A Note from Judge Kloppenburg
I am running for Supreme Court to help maintain a judiciary that is non-partisan, independent and free from special interests.
For more than 25 years, I have served the people of Wisconsin as an assistant attorney general and now as a Judge on the Wisconsin Court of Appeals. As an attorney, I led cases in many areas of the law including constitutional law, administrative law, civil litigation, and environmental litigation in both trial and appellate courts.
As a Judge on the Court of Appeals, I have experience in judicial decision-making and a proven track record as a thoughtful and impartial arbiter of the law.
During the 10 years after I completed graduate school and before I began law school, I served in the Peace Corps, established a nutrition program for women and children in upstate New York, and worked as a college administrator.
I have always believed that fairness and justice are fundamental principles we must uphold. I chose the law as a career because I saw its power and its impact on people’s lives.
Every day as a judge, my appreciation for the value of a court system in which the law is stated clearly and applied equally deepens. I approach every case with an open mind. I treat all who come before me fairly and with respect.
And, I am unwilling to surrender our courts to outside special interests and partisan politics.
I hope you will join me in this campaign and I ask for your vote and your support.
